Older streets share the city with working lots
Around Derby, Adams City and Rose Hill the streets are older and so is the concrete. Driveways, front walks and steps are the usual tear-out and replacement jobs.
The city also mixes homes with business and industrial land. We do residential and commercial work, so the same crew can pour a loading apron or an equipment slab as readily as a home driveway.

Reunion and the newer subdivisions
Reunion started in 2001 as a master-planned community on farmland between Commerce City and Brighton, with E-470 on its east edge. Second Creek Farm is another newer subdivision. New yards usually start with only the builder’s basic concrete, and owners add patios, walks and wider pads.
Reunion has its own recreation center, parks and trails, and Buffalo Run Golf Course is one of its amenities. Its homes fall under a community covenant enforced by the homeowner’s association, with guidelines on fencing and home decoration. Read it before you plan a patio, walk or fence line.
What should you check before pouring?
Commerce City is on the Front Range, where swelling clay soils are common. The Colorado Geological Survey lists cracked and heaved driveways, patios and garage slabs among the signs, and water moving through the soil is the cause. It advises managing surface drainage and keeping irrigated planting away from the foundation, and the same thinking applies beside a slab.
Work in the public right of way, such as a curb cut or the city sidewalk, usually needs a city permit, and Commerce City’s Public Works handles those. Confirm what applies to your lot before you schedule.
Our part starts with walking and measuring the site, then a written scope and price, base prep, reinforcement, control joints and the pour. The site is left clean.
